A PAULINIAN EVENING FOR A CAUSE
On October 14, Saturday, the Paulinians will be presenting an evening of dancing, a fund-raising mini-show, charitable event to benefit the elderly, sick and ailing nuns of St. Paul de Chartres Vigil House. This event will take place at the Almansor Court, 700 S. Almansor Street, Alhambra, CA 91801. The Vigil House is the beneficiary of all fundraising activities of the Paulinian Global Foundation, a non-profit, tax-exempt organization organized in the United States by the Paulinian alumni.
The old Vigil House was formerly located in Quezon City, where they retired peacefully and spent their last days on earth. The place was originally built for 40 nuns and was packed with 70 nuns. They have moved to a new place and 94 nuns are currently housed in a new comfortable retirement home befitting their stature.
The new Vigil house is a 4-story medical geriatric facility located in Taytay, Rizal. The Vigil House needs your help in providing medicines and supplies for the sick nuns and for the general upkeep of the place.
Most of St Paul QC HS Batch 82 began their kindergarten roots at St. Paul College Pasig circa 1970 and later moved on to QC and Manila for High School. We have been molded by the nuns since kinder until high school, some up to college.
We wouldn't be where we are today if not for the St. Paul nuns. SPQC President Sr. Mary Angela Barrios and St. Paul Pasig Principal Sr. Miriam Raymund Victoriano are currently living at the Vigil House.
Since they have given up all their possessions to live a life of servitude, we owe them at least whatever blessings we have right now and make their dying days as comfortable as possible. Now is the time to give back.
